People intentionally make games these days with oldschool graphics to great effect. I don't necessarily agree that Pokemon should go that way, but the appeal is at least understandable. That and people get nostalgiac for stuff.

Theres so much wrong with this post... calling others autistic while youre here also being austic and no, "rehashing" sprites isnt "one of GFs specialties". Every new gen and sometimes game has new sprites for every pokemon, which since gen 2 includes an animation of some kind. With every itteration they changed and had to be reworked and posed differently

It's significantly easier to add new areas in a sprite-based game. It's why ORAS and USUM added almost nothing while HGSS, Platinum and BW2 added a fuckton of shit

I would argue that its more about GFs skill set in 3D space being supernaturally incompetent and awful. IMO, their 3D worlds are very simplistic and scattered, while their 2D worlds seem more well thought out.
