Region Appreciation Thread
Post a Region and list some of the things you like most about that region (lore, geography, Regional dex, music, comfiness, fucking anything at all that pertains to the region itself, etc)
The region doesn't need to be your favorite, but only talk about things that you yourself genuinely appreciate about the region rather than parroting common opinion.

For me, it's Unova
I really like how fully realized the region is. Stuff like the battle subway for example, they didn't NEED to make it a subway, with a map that shows the travel paths of each of the different battle categories and an entire town that exists to offer context to how it works, it could've been a tower with zero context, but it wasn't.
The way they hinted at kyurem by having
Lacunosa town have lore about constantly being attacked by a nearby beast in the night and having them all hide inside at night to this day.
The medieval themes that are eluded to in the desert resort and ruins, being the long lost ruins of an ancient capital city that was built by one of the 2 brothers, right away giving reason to believe what is otherwise just legend.
Even the more basic shit like how the characters and NPCs talk and act and how the areas and cities are designed, it all feels really cohesive, like an actual place that exists.
I could go on and on about Unova lore and world building, I feel like it's seriously underappreciated, and most importantly I never feel utterly wrenched over the head by it all like I do in kalos (No offense to kalos lovers)
