Type Capsules - Designed around Arceus' Plates and Silvally's Memories. Change a Pokemon's type to whichever it is on the capsule. You have the option to choose either primary or secondary type. But each Pokemon can only have two types.
Stat Capsules: Arrange a Pokemon's BST by altering those stats directly through certain capsules, based on their size.
Extra Small Capsules: 5-10
Small Capsules: 15-20
Medium Capsules: 25-30
Large Capsules: 35-40
Extra Large Capsules: 45-50
We have EV-reducing berries. How about we have those berries serve as an ingredient of a medicine or a capsule that let us reduce the Pokemon's actual base stats (or species strengths as they are known officially)?
That way, we can have shenanigans like Fire/Poison special attacking Granbull with Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast. Or more subtly, Fairy/Fighting Granbull or Fairy/Dark Granbull that lets it have an additional STAB.
It may seem "unnatural" for us to modify our Pokemon, but we are already doing that in the games. We have four fossil Pokemon that were produced artificially by combining fossil parts that have no business being together. These Pokemon are able to live. We have artificial Pokemon like Porygon and the Silvally lines. If the recurring theme of these games is that people are already taking advantage of and abusing nature, breaking the laws of time, space, nature, and physics, and Game Freak escalates it even more, toeing the line far more every generation, then that would be the ultimate extreme step.
Game Freak is about trying to curb extremism by showing forms of it already. Team Magma. Team Aqua. Team Galactic. Etc. People are doing this in the game universes already: eugenics and stuff like that. Game Freak might as well continue down that path. Clearly there is an audience for it. People want to change their Pokemon now. People want Yanmega or Flygon that are Bug/Dragon.
