Generations were ONAs, SM anime had a weekly 24 min episode format, the quality obviously would be different considering the amount of time inverted on each one, but even for those standards SM looked pretty good to me

I enjoyed SM anime a lot, at least the first season. It looks better in motion than paused. Maybe I would have gotten sick of it if it went on forever, but I really liked having simpler, more fluid animation for a few years.
