i know this is a stupid troll/bait thread, but just because the region is in California means the legendaries need to be from California lore.

Kalos was based on France but the legends were based on Norse mythology (Norway is not france)

Hoenn was based on a Japanese island but the legends were based on Hebrew mythology (Japan is not Israel)

Also, the Kanto region was based on the Japanese island of Kanto, but Japan does not have a psychic type cat legendary in their lore.

Now you can continue with your "onions and onions" based legendary thread.

Looks like he's about to get another form, possibly an evolution even.

Really though, no more America. The mascots wouldn't even be American just like the Tao Trio weren't. Alola only managed its own thing due to Polynesian influence and native Hawaiian culture/lifestyle. Poke Cali would just be a giant meme with a supersized version of Unova's Poke'wood taking over as the "gimmick" of the Gen.

I thought that Unova was the continental US. There were a couple cities with New Mexico style buildings, and fuck me if Virbank wasnt supposed to be LA. There won't be another American region.

Game Freak would absolutely find a way.

For what it's worth I did very much enjoy PokeStar Studios, but I do not trust current Game Freak since their main thing now is battle gimmicks or gimmick update designs. The regional variants of Cali would be the only thing I'd really look forwards to, unless the story is somehow "movie" worthy.
