>>44926035Listen. Game Freak and TPC have an agenda to make the games that they choose to make. They have priorities, both internal and external, moral and financial, to make certain types of video games. Pokemon created a what-if, noncanonical game where characters from multiple timelines and universes come together on an island to work together and compete in a tournament. Do you know what other games have that as a premise? ORAS. Multiple timelines and universes in an island region, taking place in an alternate universe/timeline. SM. Anabel is confirmed to be from the original timeline but having aged up. Red and Blue have aged up. Wally, conversely, did not age up. Alola is an island region.
They are doing the same things but changing things up slightly. You didn't know that this game had things in common with ORAS and SM until now. TPC and Game Freak didn't even make these games.
Do you know other Nintendo titles that take place on isolated islands with alternate timelines? Perhaps. Hyrule Warriors? Animal Crossing: New Horizon? Majora's Mask? Do you understand that Pokemon and Nintendo have a lot of shit in common? That's why they're working together.
This is a Nintendo game that is made by people who support Nintendo's core values. Nintendo owns part of TPC's share. Shigeru Miyamoto inspired Satoshi Tajiri and gave him a chance. Satoshi and Shigeru are the names of Ash and Gary in Japanese. They are Red and Blue, respectively, in the games. Blue's name in English is the same as the Blue version. Green's name in English is the same as the Green version. Shigeru Miyamoto suggested alternate versions in the first place. All of this shit is on purpose.
Autistic or not, that's pretty fucking incredible.
