No, players will breed a team of 6, play a few matches, revise the team after learning of any major flaws by taking the time to get more egg moves, nature mints, redo EVs, or just flat out breed entirely new Pokemon, same species or otherwise.
They'll play with the team some more, and the process might loop multiple times as things change higher in the rankings.
And then they'll get bored and want to make a new team and the process starts all over again.
This isn't a "spend 3 hours and it's done" kind of thing; breeders will spend dozens or even hundreds of hours to obtain a large number of different Pokemon with different spreads, compositions, and team synergy, often having multiples of the same species to cover those different niches.
