everything but RBY and GSC is overrated trash, RSE was a downgrade, aswell as firered. Night time was just a stupid clock, no visual effect. No more pokemon that appear on a certain day, or at a certain time of the day. You had to trade your eevee from FRLG to RSE to get a fucking umbreon, not to mention that the pokemons you had in your RBY and GSC were forever stuck in time, they couldn't be transferred to the newer games at that time, which was the driving point in people dropping pokemon all together.
I can not mention it enough what a downgrade that technology is, you could trade between GSC and RBY even though the first one was the latter generation with newer pokemon. The first sign that GameFreak was not bothered to give a shit anymore.
Also their jewish trick of giving event pokemon only once, while most of the children that played at that time didn't know what they were, nor had they the ways to know where if they didn't live in Japland or NYC.
Next up, DPPT, although PT fixed some issues with DP, that doesn't forgive on how shit the generation is. Health bars going realllllyyyy slow, almost no fire pokemon besides a ponyta and the starter, introduction of really shitty pokemons. Tyranitar once again being the META, although I have to admit it did better than RSE in terms of gameplay, the physical and special attack was a huge deal. Finally water physical attackers weren't held back by their mediocre special attack anymore for example, and they finally reintroduced day and night time.
Couldn't be arsed about Black and White anymore. All of the pokemon were fucking ugly, all of them. I did like the new Machop line, although Machop line is better than the one in BW. BW made me quit pokemon alltogether.
All I do is play hacked roms of Gen 1 and 2, and sometimes gen 3. Although I did enjoy Emerald, it was a pain to collect all pokemon and I will never forgive GameFreak for spreading every pokemon over a selection of 6 games and 2 mandatory consoles.
