>>44932120Considering we're still missing at least a third of the whole roster by the time this DLC is done, yes, it was that bad. I played base SWSH to see if it was that bad and yeah it was a bitter experience over all. The whole game was half baked and the only good to come of it was being able to skip the catching tutorial. It was still a janky, handholdy mess that went out of its way to slow down your progress for stupid shit like stopping you for a shitty story every five minutes. At least Sun and Moon was engaging the first time through, SWSH's story didn't even function if you gave it even a second of thought.
I'm still mad and I want nothing to do with SWSH. The only reason I'm still here is I'm waiting for news of the next game to see if they'll walk back on dexit, and if they don't I'll just stop caring about these fucking games and see if someone wants to take my event collection off my hands.
>>44933488The "leak" claimed the software they used to transfer the existing models didn't work so they had to manually convert them, not straight up recreate them. The meshes in SWSH are either identical to those in the 3DS games or nearly identical, with the tiny differences likely being artifacts from the transition between engines. What makes it really weird is that SWSH was based of LGPE's engine and I could have sworn evidence was found that LGPE's was based off SM's so this shit shouldn't have been an issue, but GF is infamous for being bad at programming.
Honestly, I think what really happened with the game was they spent too much time implementing the shitty half-baked open world, the awful online, and the shitty raid system, as those all seem to be the intended core of the game, and by the time they encountered issues implementing the Pokemon it was too late for a legitimate fix.
