>>44932949Controversial opinion, but after the dumpster fire ORAS was I actually kinda want remakes going forward to be done like Let's Go. I mean, I hated the Go catching mechanics, but I hated what they did with Hoenn in ORAS. Changing shit that didn't need to be changed (Mauville) and then just outright cutting shit like the first visit to Granite Cave, giving you a legendary before the 4th gym.. it was just stupid. At least let's go is basically 1:1, I think the only area that was changed was Cerulean Cave. Also the fact they kept the HM puzzles and just gave your partner Pokemon the ability to do them was the perfect solution, much better than Ride pokemon or just removing them entirely like Gen 8 does.
Imagine a neutered Sinnoh, with Mt Coronet being reduced to a hallway and a completely railroaded story path. No thank you, at least Let's Go still let you do gyms out of order.
