Do you guys stick to 6 pokemon in a playthrough or do you constantly rotate a larger amount?

I used to stick to 6 and only rotate if I needed to, but when I started playing Drayano hacks I starting rotating because I wanted to make use of the greater variety of Pokémon.

I might catch something like the regional bug/rodent early on as a temporary member so my starter isn't overleveled but I always have a set 6 in mind

I try to rotate in a larger number of pokemon. I just feel kind of bad if I leave them languishing in the PC, they need exercise.

I rotate, I’ll have a main 4 and like 3 to 5 other mons I usually swap around until choosing a team for the E4. I also don’t keep HM slaves in the party so I typically have extra members for stuff like Flash and Waterfall/Whirlpool

I try to rotate but then I always wind up grinding. Its actually kind of fun depending on the game. FRLG and BW for example however in most I just plan a team of 6.

I've usually used about 8-10 pokemon by the end of a playthrough, but once I get my final 6 I don't rotate. Sometimes I use less than that if my planned team members are available early.

The only time I have rotated members was my first time playing AS. Mostly because it had been ages since I played gen 3 and there were a lot of Pokémon I wanted to use. Otherwise I go for 6, usually 6 that I decided on before starting.
