I grew up during the height of pokemania but never got into this shit as a kid, recently I started watching the anime on the recommendation of my girlfriend. What the fuck, why is this world so awesome to watch? I find myself totally invested in the neverending journey of this young child to gather animals intended to sell licensed merchandise. I find myself lamenting that this world doesn't exist and can never be, what makes this dumb show so good?
