I have yet to bother going off to beat Raihan, but I have well over a hundred hours in and I dunno, I guess I kind of enjoy it?
Like the actual game part of it isn't great. I imagine I've spent less than like seven hours on the campaign, all that's a little bit of a chore. But running around the wild area and isle of armor catching and collecting Pokemon (which is more my flavor of autism) has been fun. Like checking the weather each day, catching everything I can, and once I run out finally drag myself to do a gym challenge so I get 5 more levels I can catch. Building up, little by little. Unlocking the bike was pretty huge. That kind of stuff is like, fun? I even have to imagine that's how they expected or wanted people to play the game, because if I'd just run through the game and then had to come back to these areas to do it all at once with everything at level 60, sounds like a drag.
Even then it's still just...super laggy when online, the draw distance is still embarrassing, wish the wild area was larger and more diverse, hate that fog is locked to the post game pretty much, hate how little the IoA really added dexwise. Still, it at least has been somewhat enjoyable.
