Not deliberately, but if I like it more than the evolution then sure.
Used a Roselia in Pt, a Mareanie in Sun...wanted to use a Salandit in Sun too, but thought two may have been pushing it.
Was going to use a Grookey in Sword but then I realized I didn't give a shit so I boxed it. Intend to do a solo Sinistea run sometime though.

Actually, now that I remember, my first game was LeafGreen, but it turns out I got a bootleg like a dumbass, so I could never do tradevos. Had a Graveler and Haunter in my team, though I guess those aren't really shoulder mons.

yeah i recently beat platinum and never evolved my Piplup, it even beat Cynthias Garchomp, i loved using it
