Eh, they have the best regional dex but the pacing goes haywire after the 2nd gym qnd you'll end up overlevelled unless you're constantly switching out Pokemon.

They're fine games. The huge pokedex gives a lot of options for teambuilding. They're piss-easy but so is every Pokemon game.

I liked them!

I would say the pokemon and online are pretty good, but the story and pacing was really bad and honestly moving around on the rollerskates didn't feel very good

I really liked them; they were probably the last set of Pokemon games I genuinely enjoyed despite any criticism I had of them. They're obviously rushed and unfinished, but the 3D graphics were huge and I liked playing dress-up. Also thought the soundtrack was great.

The new mons are great, MegaEvo is the best gimmick in the series, and the region is beautiful.

That said, the story and characters are truly, truly terrible. The pacing after you beat Korrina is a disappointing follow to the game up until that point. And the sheer amount of KANTOOOOOOOOO in this game makes me want to die.

For the series' first jump into 3D, it's a very admirable work which sadly never received its very needed third version.

Would have been better if Moltres just showed in sea spirit's den post game without encountering it 11 times. If roaming legendary mechanics return in later games I won't even bother going after them.

They're the start of a lot of problems, but aside from substance and some shitty writing decisions, they still mean well and bring a lot of good things to the table.

Shame it got cucked out of a Z version that could saved it like Platinum
