A sequel to the Detective Pikachu movie is confirmed to be in the works. Ash and Go are going to get Lucario and Cinderace, respectively, in the anime soon. Pokemon Cafe Mix is new and interesting. Most significantly, the franchise's 25th anniversary is next year. There are plenty of other franchises worse off than Pokemon.
