You get a g-max Melmetal. Meltan doesn't evolve in the games, only in Go. And you can transfer from Go > Sword&Shield without having the Pokemon already registered in your dex. You need Let's Go.

The trailer explicitly says this is only true for certain pokemon. TPC is greedy but they're not total fucking retards, they wouldn't advertise Meltan/Melmetal if you couldn't transfer it from the get go.

I agree with what you're saying anon, but since the Lockdown, it's really easy to play Go from your home. Niantic realised they have to make it playable from home now in order to keep their audience as well as not get bad press. Honest to god I prefer Go to the main games at this point. At least I know now I'm going to wait a year for the game + dlc pack if I ever buy a pokemon game again. I used to buy 2 versions, the first game and than the sequel. But now a game costs fucking $80 for way less content and effort and the dlc costs $30 for stuff that should have been included in the first game to make the game complete.

With the dexcut still technically in place (why the fuck would they just leave out such a small number of old mons?) it makes even less sense to support them.

I really hope Nintendo wrecked their shit about SWSH and the dexcut and that the move in with HAL and GF actually improves things.
