After Crystal_ on Smogon dismantled game mechanics of it and discovered bug preventing Body Slam from paralyzing Normal-type Pokemon (both of these are rather common things in Gen I metagame), people started to abuse the living shit out of Reflect Chansey and Snorlax.
Not only there's no variety, but the only options are hyper-aggro that can use explosion to take down opponent before setting up, or a retarded shit that just don't die.
