Whatever your head-canon tells you, man. Even if we took that to be true, Sun/Moon came out in 2016, when Yo-kai Watch was still popular in Japan, and obviously Sun and Moon would have been in development before that.

Meanwhile, the latest new mainline Yo-kai Watch game bombed to the tune of fewer than 300,000 copies sold in Japan.

They look more like grown up ash and the new girl in the anime but I totally wouldn't dismiss this since the video was isekai-ish and that was sort of the plot in Let's Go.

It's funny, this animation did a great job with the human characters but it left the pokemon in the background or rather making fun of them, on the other hand the most commercial animations do a terrible job with humans but they make a great effort to portray the pokemon as the center of attention.
