The board's crazy, they sit around all day, every day talking about who "deserves" to be in, and then when a wild card no one was discussing (like Piranha Plant) gets in, they act like a slot was "stolen" from a "deserving" character ("deserving" defined by who they say.)
Couple that with all the nice porn Cinderace's inclusion may produce, as we saw with Pikachu Libre before, and it's a win-win in my book.
