Everyone always bashes Sinnoh for only having two Fire types. Why does nobody care about Hoenn only having two Ice types? They didn't even add more into regional dex in Emerald.

These 2 carry the whole type on their backs and they are just regional variants. Gamefreak won't even let original Pokémon do good with the ice type .

Fire is a primary type.
Ice has always been one of the rarer ones.
Although it wouldn't have hurt to put Dewgong, Cloyster, & Lapras in Hoenn because they're also water types

This is an extremely retarded and braindead point to make, considering how Glacia only uses two lines of pokemon for her team. I would have gladly choosen to give her some non-ice types instead of making her have the blandest Elite 4 team possible.

Diamond only has 1 new fire type: the starter. And 1 returning one: Ponyta.
Hoenn has 3 new ice types: Snorunt, Spheal and Castform.

Gens 1 - 3 get a pass because they didn't have nearly as many Pokemon to choose from. By the time Gen 3 rolled out, there were only 9-non-legendary Ice type lines, those being Sneasel, Dewgong, Lapras, Glalie, Cloyster, Walrein, Jynx, Piloswine, and Delibird.

During Gen 4, on the other hand, there were, not counting legendaries, 13 lines of Fire type Pokemon, of which an equal amount were available to the player in D/P's main campaign as Ice types were available during R/S/E's main campaign.

Don't pick on Kyurem so much. It finally got good Ice type moves in Gen 7, but it was too late because its Dragon half got nerfed into the ground. If it had Freeze Dry in Gen 5, or Fairy wasn't so OP in Gens 6 - 8, Kyurem might've been good.
