Only the first run of games included it, the players choice reprint came with just the game. I still have a set of them actually and they work great.

My biggest complaint about FRLG is they butcher the soundtrack. The GBA’s sound font is horrible. Also, the sprites are a little wonky.

The GBA and gen 3 are my favorites but the sound is the worst. The downgrade in sound from the GBC to the GBA is not only significant but also disappointing. In my opinion it's the only fault of the GBA.

Yes! The original gym leader, Pokémon center, and surfing theme are my favorite versions of those. The originals use a higher pitch which cuts through better. Everything sounds better in the original, the remakes have this muddy quality that’s almost dissonant with plenty of shifting notes which sound like 16 bit bagpipes, coupled with the Ning Ning bells and static for percussion and it just doesn’t sound good.

Stop using this word. It does not mean what you think it means. Furthermore, Gen 3 games have their own set of instrument samples. The GBA hardware does not come with its own samples.

If a Pokémon has a new evolution and the method of evolving it is available it should at least be an option in the remake. I think HGSS had the right approach with gen 3 and 4 Pokémon being completely optional before the post-game but available as soon as possible. It gave players the choice instead of locking one option away.

The concept of gens wasn't around then, retard Kun. Gen 2 Pokes were literally marketed alongside gen 1 from the anime's conception.
For this reason, LGPE/FRLG are bastardizations of Kanto that don't really capture the spirit of the originals. It's ironic considering the incessant cuts in those games are a desperate attempt to try and do so but accomplish the opposite.
Will we ever get a true Kanto remake of RGBY?
