But that's besides the point. Giratina-O is much more similar to Necrozma's Solgaleo/Lunala base fusions than it is to U-Necrozma (and yes while those fusions give Necrozma a stat boost, it's offset by the fact that the BST is still identical to Solgaleo/Lunala). If the two base Necrozma forms are in the game, there's no reason Giratina-O won't be in the game either.
A better parallel for U-Necrozma is the Primals, not Giratina-O.
