Should I buy Pokémon SWSH used?
Literally the only Switch game I have is Smash and I've been craving some Pokémon for a while now

Buy BoTW for a Nintendy title. Indie games too. They're cheap and kill a lot of time.
If you want a good monster taming game on the Switch wait for Monster Hunter Stories 2. You don't have to like Monster hunter to get into Stories. I would recommend the 3DS game but your partner Navi(rou) might be a turnoff. Monster Hunter is a great series in general though.

I dunno about that. Used copies of Sword/Shield seem to go for around $40 to $50. And the Expansion Pass dlc costs an additional $30.
That's like $70 or $80 if you want the complete SwSh experience.

I would wait and buy the upcoming definition version of Sword/Shield. It may cost $90 if you get it New, but it's a rerelease that comes with all the dlc included within the game card.
And I expect used copies of this definitive version will bring that $90 price tag even cheaper.

In the future, in case you ever wanna resell, I think copies of this definitive rerelease will fetch a higher price than vanilla copies.

Not since World. Rise is looking to be a good blend of old and new gen Monster Hunter so far.
