The battle frontier is a shitty outdated post-game that was only relevant in gen 3 when we didn't have wifi. Why battle nameless NPCs with zero story arc or relevance for some pointless medals? I'd much rather play online against real people, far more rewarding. I hope the battle frontier never comes back, we don't need them wasting more development time on that shit when the games are already so bare bones.

in game wifi battling is just inferior to showdown. Showdown has a better timer more formats and turns go faster. Playing vgc on cart is pure tedium when the optimal play is to wait out the clock every single turn.

Unironically no, the battle frontier as a concept is amazing but holy fuck it's not worth the torture

The concept of rogue-like challenges in Pokemon is amazing but it's extremely obnoxious to have most of the wild pokemon encounters be BULLSHIT that prioritizes status moves.

The worst part is that Anabel only shows up in the singles mode, it's a really wasted chance that you don't get to fight her in doubles or co-op mode with a friend using the Link Cable

I don't hate it but the Battle Dome could've been better like a swiss tournament or double elimination formats instead of animu single bracket tourney.

Just mentioning Palace is enough for me to dismiss Battle Frontier, at least the Battle Pike is a more forgiving kind of RNG, in Palace you can have your pokemons stuck using shitty moves while opposing mons hit you with OHKO moves without missing..

Now don't take it as a "hurr hurr i hate battle frontier and i'm glad ORAS skipped it xdd" hater, i hate that gamefreak skipped on an easy opportunity to fix the everloving fuck out of the Battle Frontier, remove all the retarded luck factors and give us shit that takes skill and long-term planning to beat. Hell instead of bringing back shitty ass Battle Tower, they should bring back Battle Factory more often, that shit is way better than endurance tests.

I personally love the idea of the Battle Frontier. It's not quite as grandiose as going to Kanto and doing that gym circuit after Johto's, but a bunch of super powerful trainers, who preside over their own facilities that you work your way towards battling and beating to earn a new type of badge essentially is really cool IMO.

Sinnoh is just 3 different flavors of Battle Tower.
You havve regular Tower
You have Tower that has a mini-game that dictates how you or your opponent are going to suffer through the battle
Then you have Tower that is 1v1 only
And guess what again, another battle tower but oh this time it uses some money system that lets you heal shit or team preview
