The only collection I see GF releasing on switch would be a digital

If it's meant to be a collection that releases physically then I'd say it could add

Unlikely this will be the case but I'd buy it If they allow Pokemon Home functionality like how Bank was in XY/SM (Instant addition of a compatible Pokemon to an in-game-box) and added a few QoL improvements

The only realistic Switch collection I could picture would be RBY+GSC since they already made "definitive" VC editions and Nintendo just officially discontinued the 3DS. RSE is a maybe alongside those solely because of their aspect ratio, but I don't see them putting DS games on the Switch any time soon. They were already awkward enough to play on the Wii U.

they'll release 2 seperate collections. one for the 'dominant' colour (Red/Gold/Ruby/Diamond) and another for the sub colour (Blue/Silver/Sapphire/Pearl). third versions won't be included or come as their own collections. all of them $60 each.

Yeah, I was just being hypothetical
I do kinda see them doing that shit if they could get away with it but it's be kind of a clusterfuck due to version exclusives and online Home trading being limited

Although in reality I personally expect straight Roms with no improvements outside of Bank compatibility
I would personally love to replay those games with the addition of being able to have my favorite Pokemon at the beginning of each gen

Lies. Knowing GameFreak, it'd be split into multiple collections throughout many years to make the most money. So Master Collection Kanto will be $60 and have RBY/FRLG, Master Collection Johto will have GSC/HGSS, Master Collection Hoenn prolly wouldn't have ORAss though. Porting 3ds games and their online functionality to Switch would be too tough for our indie company

after consoomers slurped up Swordshit for 60$ each? They will charge 60$ for every single game.
Even if they would give you the whole package of all GB/GBA/DS/3DS games all in one for a fair amount of cash, why buy it if you already have it? It would just lead them to taking Pokebank offline so that you can't transfer mons from Gen5 to 6 and 7 anymore, since now you have it all on the switch.

If they'd do any kind of collection, they'd probably still split it for paired versions. So a Red collection with Red/Gold/Ruby/Pearl and a Blue collection with Blue(Green)/Silver/Sapphire/Diamond. And you'd have to wait for the Yellow collection, too.

If there was a Master Collection I would want it to be in the GBA style and have you go through the first three games then have the Sevi Islands act as a fourth part of the game where you can catch the remaining Pokémon that didn’t appear in the main three storylines.

If anything it'd be a menu to select the game and frlg will be copy/pasted there in their entirety despite original gen 1 games already being included. And it'd all there from the start, can't have kiddos getting upset they have to unlock something instead of having the updated version handed to them. Granted, being arbitrarily locked out of content that isn't a matter of progression is dumb anyways, having to beat rby to play frlg would make about as much sense as steam not letting you play a sequel or spin-off to a game before finishing the game before it when you've already bought both.

The XY ones were basically on the cusp of release, and the SM starters leak was an art leak.

Apart from Rainbow leaker, Let's Go leaker and Affleck, I can't recall any leakers who just dumped a massive amount of genuine info as a text post that early in pre release. Josh and the "of course they're fake" starters are not the same type of leak.

Here's an idea. What if they made a "complete" pokemon game that gave you the sort of Ash Ketchum experience?

You get to choose your starting region and within that region you get to choose from an expanded pool of "starter" pokemon. Then after you complete that region, you move onto the canonical region that is nearby that region and you PC all of the pokemon that you caught in the previous generation, starting anew in the next region (like Ash does). There could be some exception to this where you get to keep a "favorite pokemon" and it gets de-leveled when you get to the new region. (like how Pikachu will always be with Ash, but Pikachu is never brutally OP).

You just do this until every region is done then you can freely fly around anywhere in the pokemon world with all of your pokemon from every region.
