>>45013443Better, but I'd go even less. At that scale it's pretty complicated of a design. The lines alone take up a lot of the sprite's visual queues. You're also kind of placing the blue in the line art in random places, which makes it come off as you're not really confident in where they go. This is a stylistic thing, but any of the shade color your using should face toward the light source's direction, while black faces the right and back. I can tell the design is cool and I like it, but keep in mind gen 2 sprites are designed with a balance so that the sprites are legible. There are "complicated" designs sure for that gen, but they focus that complicated part toward a certain part of the body leaving the rest simple. Here you have a bulb on the head, plated armor, tendrills, segmented big limbs, ringed tail. A lot to take in. Think of it next time you make a design that the more you add, the more you're limiting what you can push in the end.
