Well yes, and you can play it too, because smogon is an open community that takes in input on thier restrictions
its not like that same openess coorelates to the same bans that you some how dispise
But no, they are the ones in the wrong, thier spewing negativity because thier rules on how pokemon should be played, its not like you have the ability to ignore this and just go play pokemon casually, or the fact that there is a pokemon metagame that disregards smogon clauses, or that there are pokemon metagames that center around gamefreak's rules
No their single ruleset for thier metagame is too toxic is seeps into other pokemon related subforums
its not like smogon makes healthy clauses for healthy metagames that allow all forms of play
and if a lot of people think something is umcompetitive it gets banned based on user input
