In this case, the best way to go about it is to take a Pokemon and compare their 2D idle with their 3D idle, since that's really the only way to fairly go about it given what we have to work with. Cherrypicking ruins any semblance of a proper comparison. Comparing Sudowoodo's Gen 5 idle animation with Cinderace's Pyro Ball animation does fuck all for either side, but people will pretend it does.
