Mt Moon and Rock Tunnel were great because it's early on, you don't have a bunch of money lying around to load up on potions and revives, and you have to stick it out through that endurance test. But most all the others lack this. It's one thing if they were treated like challenge dungeons (can only enter with X, healing not allowed, etc) and at the end you get rewarded with a really good item, but instead they're just roadblocks with no depth or purpose. Chargestone is probably the worst offender. With one of the legendaries being electric, and the music changing the deeper you got, I remember thinking it was gonna be this huge, realized challenge to go get it later as an endgame catch or something, but instead it's just a lot of cave holes that go nowhere.
