Core games are the same shit, GO is a daily grind, spinoffs are dead outside of more mobileshit, the anime is as dull as ever despite being more "daring" than ever because they literally only confirmed it's to grab attention, the merch is still as overly-expensive and mixed in quality as ever, interest in the TCG died, no one except a very obscure niche cares about the manga, so all you're left with are those bitter towards the primary aspects of the franchise, and coomers, who are the only real winners in all of this, because not only do they have zero involvement in the franchise, they still have access to the largest wealth and variety of characters and creatures of any media out there to pleasure themselves to, and Pokemon's status as a cultural juggernaut and the literal largest franchise on Earth means that virtually every artist of any sort is willing to produce virtually anything with that franchise's characters and creatures.
