Doesn’t matter. It’ll trend on Twitter and they can sell merchandise around it again. The kids who grew up hearing about “muh nostalgia” will think it’s cool they’re witnessing its return even though it means nothing to them.

His mother made the entire outfit for him including the hat. Also considering the fact this outfit gets wrecked at the start of Diamond & Pearl it's a good thing he stopped wearing his original hat.

They wouldn't ever do this unless the Pokemon Anime were to reach a definitive "never coming back ever" end, and that won't happen in any lifetime because the anime is meant to run indefinitely, at least until it stops being profitable.
