I don't get it. Surely the regional forms have a strong enough concept to exist as their own Pokemon with no prior relation to already existing mons. A giant palm tree dragon didn't have to be Exeggutor, a bear trap didn't have to be Stunfisk, a dead coral reef didn't have to be Corsola. You get the point.
