If I'm playing nuzlocke and use metronome and the pokemon uses self destruct does that pokemon die?

The moral here is to absolutely never use Metronome in Nuzlockes, it's a horrible move

Generally when you play Nuzlockes you really want to keep the bad luck to an absolute minimum when you can. Play around crits, play around status, etc.
Using a move that can instantly kill you, even if it's a less than 1% chance (and this isn't counting stuff like Rollout/Ice Ball which can also screw you over) then it's just never worth it to use.
