>>45026294Fuck off with this genwunner nostalgia bullshit. First of all, Kanto E4 wasn't the 4 best types. If it was, the there would be a Psychic, Water, Normal, and Ground E4 member. Also the teams are only memorable because the game is 20+ years old, and has been remade twice now. The teams themselves are only competitive due to their levels being in the 50s and 60s, so the only real challenge is making sure you've level grinded enough to be on par with them. Aside from that, almost all of the pokemon on their teams only know level up moves (leer on Blue's Gyarados and Arcanine, Exeggutor with only 3 moves). Also due to gen 1 mechanics, most of the teams suck. Agatha's Gengars' only special moves are dream eater, Bruno's Hitmonchan knows the Elemental punches despite its shit special stat, Lance's Dragonite will only use Barrier against poison types. Also the team composition isn't as creative as you think. Bruno has two Onix's (who is a shitmon), Agatha has two Gengars and a Haunter, along with fellow shitmon Golbat. Lance has two Dragonairs and Dragonite. Blue has a Pidgeot (Shitmon). Take your nostalgia goggle off and realize how shitty Gen 1 E4 was.
