>>45030396I've been playing a campaign weekly for the past couple of months. It is one of the best things that has happened to me in my 30's. I play online with friends. We use a Google docs sheet to calculate damage in battles. (In fact, the sheet functions as a simple battle simulator, we just have to select moves, roll dice, then input the result.)
Our campaign takes place in Kanto, 30 years after Red won the pokemon league. We were enrolled in a special program for mature trainers when our university was attacked by psychic pokemon. After defeating a giant malamar, we are now on the trail of an evil team that has stolen Bill's pokemon transfer prototype that switched him with a pokemon. We've each caught a few mons, won heaps of battles, have used our pokemon outside of battle to assist us with puzzle solving, perform getaways, and disable enemies.
We have come across a pokemon gym in diglet tunnel and are going to challenge it before moving to viridian city. So much has happened and I wish this was bigger in my teens.
