If Pokémon were real, what species would realistically live where you reside, what would your team and main aces/bros be? Obviously pets also count.

Pidove, Miltank, Wooloo, Yanma, Bidoof, Cramorant, Durant and similar would all be near me, although I'd probably be able to get something more rare and strong since mountains are near, Charmander, Larvitar, Snover just to name a few, this was just an example, feel free to expand more.

I'm Canadian and I live in a small town near the countryside by one of the great lakes so pokemon like wingull, cramorant, pachirisu, stunky, bidoof/bibarrel and sentret/furret are extremely common to find roaming in the wild.
LOTS of bug types as well like kricketot/Kricketune, venonat/venomoth, Combee, yanma, pineco, surskit/masquerain too.
Rare pokemon would include stuff like Heracross, Munchlax, Ursaring, Vulpix/Ninetales
Maybe Stuff like ponyta, miltank, Murkrow, and such further out from the main populous
This is actually kinda fun to think about

Temperate flat region so no cool ice, fire pokemon, we have beaches but it's not really hot beaches. Maybe Lapras are helping people cross the sea to go to England, and it's quite cold water up here so it's the only rare pokemon I can think of
Rolycoly family makes sense because we had a lot of coal mines here. Maybe I can find a Eevee with all those wild cats in the streets, but it would probably be mostly meowth.
We are known for mussels and fries so I can imagine a Cloyster somewhere in my team. I hate UBs but we have a lot of brick walls so maybe Stakataka. I may also be ablo to find some shit in the swamps, ideally a Mudkip

So, realistically ? Meowth, Eevee and maybe a Scraggy in my neightborhhod
If I'm a pro trainer, maybe Eevee as my ace, Lapras, Coalossal, Scrafty and Cinderace to be quite balanced

stantler and sawsbuck would be a staple.
lycanroc and some bear pokemon like ursaring or bewear would be predators.
all of the rodent mons too.
in the water there are common fish pokemon like basculin and feebas, but we would also have rarer stuff like barboach and eelektrik. maybe even a barraskewda.
Wooper and tympoles and corphish would live in the creeks.
For birds definitely wingull, ducklett, and starly. up in the hills braviary and altaria, maybe even a delibird once it snows.
For misc, pokemon I could see living here would be weavile, snowver, xatu, forretress, squirtle, snorlax, druddigon, and amoongus

I live by the beach in a tourist town, so I would imagine wingull, pidove and other flying types. There's a giant pond in my neighborhood so maybe swanna, ducklet. With the beach, there would be plenty of water types to encounter surfing or fishing. Not really sure about more regular pokemon. I guess any that live in a fairly urbanized area?

I imagine taking care of Pokemon would be a pretty big responsibility so I'd only keep one or two. Based on my environment, I'd like a Staryu/Starmie and maybe some Flying type for easy transportation.

In the forest, all the rodents, a big diverse number of bugs and poison types, cats like meowth and glameowth, lots of birds like pidgey, starly and taylow line.
At the sea, lots of wingull and ducklets. Fish like goldeen, magikarp, feebas, staryu, seel, barraskewda and shelder more up north.
On the lakes: bibarel, lotad and psyduck
Near the city you may find murkrow, lots of common normal types, abra, meditite, zubat, yamper, growlithe.
When its winter, you will find swinub, sneasel, snover,

If Im a regular trainer my team would be eevee, murkrow, growlithe and seel

If im a pro: Umbreon, Staraptor, Sawsbuck, Mamoswine, Milotic and Gengar

that was cool to think.

The nearby areas to me are:

So a lot of steel/poison types from the city and a lot of grass and normal types from the farm/forest/wine country.

OP here, I live in the countryside and there's chickens, geese, birds, bugs, spiders and ants so team A would be the best I could get more or less, although I could snag some better mons from the near mountains, there could be charmanders, larvitars, and other powerful dragons + fairies, but realistically team B is more or less what I could normally get from there. The final team is just a mix of the 2.
