Given the fossil and ghost forms and its vaguely huamoid shape it might give the impression of an abstract human ghost. Apparently they can be three or ten foot tall, so either little goblins that your eyes can't quite focus on, or titanic looming spectres that you see sometimes out at sea that always seem to be shrouded in fog that stops you reading their features, no matter the weather
