I’ve beaten crystal with dunsparce. In HGSS I’ve also early game bred a dunsparce with serene grace and bite. Headbutt/Bite/Glare paraflinch set works.

Ice types. By the point they're showing up, you've likely got a full team unless you've specifiacally got a spot saved for them. Even then they're not going to have any EVs and already have a sub par type so they're going to be lagging behind
