>>45040439Unnecessary, but only because it just joins you. They should've at least made us battle it. I do like the idea of older mythicals becoming more accessible. The only reason they're banned from VGC is because they're not easily accessible. I say they should just make them available through side quests in the games.
Yes, it does take a lot of the feeling of them being special away, but the events are also so easy to get now with people duplicating and trading the Pokémon that they already feel like they're not special. Unlike Gen 3 events, everyone has mythicals now. Whether they got Mew from My Pokémon Ranch, the HGSS wi-fi events, the Gen 6 or 7 events, etc. Using Mew as an example but it goes for Arceus, Keldeo, Shaymin, or any of the mythicals. Just about all of the ones that existed at the time were given out for the 20th anniversary event.
