Eiscue is objectively the worst fucking design, and I can hardly believe there are people that don't agree.
It's not a "quirky" design, it doesn't work at all. It'd be completely forgettable if it wasn't memorable for being so fucking awful.

All of Gen 2 was a mistake. It’s full of shitmons and baby Pokemon.

Gen 5 is basically Gen 1, but retconned with mostly better designs. We have regional variants now, so it seems like a wasted gen.

The Galar dex as a whole is pretty fucking awful, let's be real here. You got a few cool mons like the punk lizard(s) or the missile dragon but most of the mons look like shit.
I fucking hate that apple pie mon too.

I think the problem with most of gen 5's designs is that they seem like they were designed specifically to be simple enough to be made into sprites. Hell, most of the Sugi drawings of them were drawn in the exact same pose as their sprites. Hence they seem lazy and almost too cartoonish.
