Should I use a gem on starmie instead of lefties? Lefties is good for longetivity vs stuff like sand and tspikes. With LO, the recoil+sand+status is just too much to handle. However, the games I play with this team usually don't last very long because sand teams get 6-0 by garchomp once lando/gliscor/skarm is defeated. So I was thinking of using gems. With electric gem I can defeat jellicent on the switch when he tries to spinblock and hit rotom for about half its HP.
With ice gem I can OHKO most brelooms, and OHKO thundurus trying to agility and sweep me (even in rain hydro is an unfavorable roll vs thundurus). It also helps me to OHKO some other stuff without risk of missing like tornadus. And I was thinking of making dragonite lum. most of the stuff dragon gem helps you beat like gastrodon/jellicent/gliscor can just be addressed by having lum berry and just dragon dancing 1 extra time. So it really only makes a difference for lando. Anyone got ideas? Need help from unovabortion experts.
