Aerodactyl's spikes map pretty neatly to Rathian from Monster Hunter, only exaggerated; and back when X and Y were still new some /m/chads posted /m/ stuff that strongly resemble the changes that were made to Pinsir, Scizor, and Heracross in their Megas. I think Pinsir's was a Kamen Rider power up?
