>>45064805Nice falseflags. Gen 3 was a shitfest but not for those reasons. RS's problems are in lack of substance and complete absence of postgame, but it still had plenty saving it.
>what was the final straw?USUM for me. We had just gone two gens without a rehash and they came back with that bullshit again but this time it split the game in TWO. This was especially egregious in my eyes because while USUM did have plenty of nice difficulty tweaks and I personally like the Mantine/Warp somewhat, it didnt actually fix any of the problems with Sun and Moon and we would have been much better off having a Gen 6 release in 2015 so that Zygarde's signature moves, Eternal Floette, and all the plot points that are still left unfinished didn't get dropped. In hindsight, it also would have been nice to have a Kalos game that was completely offgrid and had the DexNav.
>LGPEI was skeptical but still had faith since the Let's Go! tagline indicated it was a side series. It fixed a lot of the things FRLG never did with Kanto but also made a lot of the same stupid decisions like the dex and breeding.
>SWSH revealI was hyped, then skeptical when Dynamax was confirmed to be another shitty gimmick like Z-moves. They should have just given Megas the three turn limit and made raids the dynamax pokemon for theatrics.
>Dex cutI didn't really mind at first, in fact I almost felt like it was coming to that with Sun and Moon. The realization hit when I remembered that Pokemon Home was a thing and they were lying to us with Bank being a solution back in 2014. I figured it was a red flag that the only news we had was that they were removing content with that shitty contest t-shirt.
I cobbled together that shitty qanon-tier picture that normies took and put all over social media as a means to disregard "anti-dexers" literally calling people transphobic slurs.
After that, I realized the series will never be for kids again. Manchildren have taken it. I'm content with the scraps at this point.
