once i figured out the formula...

i skipped ruby and sapphire, but picked up emerald on release

i skipped diamond and pearl, but picked up platinum on release

i skipped black and white, but when black 2 and white 2 came out i skipped the whole generation and never came back

I've played every gen and sequel except oras, ultra sun/moon, lgpe and swsh.

Bar ultra sun/moon these all looked dogshit and I've had no desire to play any of them

You're no fan. Never have been. I love the games. Fuck the franchise. I hate some of their retarded decisions, but I love these games. That's why I don't want them to do away with backwards compatibility. Even then, I won't quit these games until I die.
