They should have been Water/Flying, Grass/Electric and Fire/Ground. Inteleon flies, Cinderace typing would have been a nod to football plus it literally has control over the field with Court Change. Rillaboom is a bit of a stretch, but they could have played with shockwaves/noises theme. Anything but single typing ever again please

But I'm talking about the type given to a Pokemon. Sure Boomburst is a Normal move that deals with sound, but the Normal type itself isn't completely revolved around that. Besides, Noivern, Rillaboom, and Primarina aren't Normal types.

Would give it a nice STAB to hit dragons (sans dragapult), fat poison types (minus pex), fat flying types (excluding the steel birds), rotom h, and fat grasses with (if you're not running a seed set with acrobatics).
So not a ton, but not worthless. The ghost immunity would be very nice too.

All three of them are fine as pure-types. Rillaboom is already good enough without having fucking Ghost immunity and Inteleon isn't magically gonna stop being shit by allowing it to get OHKO'd by Dragapult's Thunderbolt.

Inteleon would be a bit better, since most bulky waters aren't resistant to flying. Full spdef pex gets 2HKOd by flying inteleon crit airslash, and mantine (not very relevant but the fattest full stop water type we've got) is close enough to being 2HKO that it can fish for flinches instead of not even being a 3HKO.
Doesn't fix most of its issues like shitty movepool and lack of special priority, but it'd definitely help a bit.

Intelleon's biggest problem is that it can't kill mons such as Pex, so giving it a secondary typing would help a lot. Flying is probably the worst typing to give him since his only "good" STABs are Air Slash and Hurricane if it got it for some reason
