It's fine if you hate everything about SwSh. Hell, I'm a VGChad and think everything is gonna go to shit when the CT legendaries drop. But why the hell does this board have so many people who say Pokémon has always been shit and unfun? Why are you here? 98% of this board is about the video games because they're the only worthwhile part of the franchise.

It's a phenomenon I've seen on every board and even on the entire internet.
People think that disliking something is a sign of good and refined taste over liking something. Because if one person likes something and another person dislikes it, then the one who dislikes it would naturally have higher standards and therefore better taste.
So people say that everything is shit because they think it makes them look smart and like they have more refined taste.

No they are not. Pokemon has always had a genius premise, being collecting super monsters for RPG battles, but it is always lackluster in executing that concept. The series does nothing but waste potential, but I admire the series because it provides a unique and amusing taste of escapism

Because I've loved the the world and characters since I was a little kid and I play and collect the TCG. The mainline games are pretty monotonous to me but I did play them up to Gen 5 and I played Sword, would buy switch remakes of the ones I missed if they came out. Basically I don't like JRPG's but I like the brand
