I played for over 400 hours but it was mostly unenjoyable grinding to get ready for ranked play. I'm never doing that again. Injecting going forward because it's not worth the slog.

It's people who are really into doing raids or leveling up Pokemon the legit way to level 100 to play online. Once you start doing that the game becomes a grinding time sink.

Maybe in the old games it's a grind, but in SwSh and SM there are so many ways to make monsters fast that only Shiny Hunters still grind, everyone else can egt battle ready monsters in minutes

These items still take a long time to collect, so it isn't a super fast way of getting rare candy. It does save a ton of time on battle caps though.

I already have a fuckload of raid candies from when I was, y'know, doing raids for TMs, Candies, Berries, Good IV Monsters, Monsters from the other Version and more.

Raids are a great way to get chunks of literally any resource of the game. It has a nearly 100% guarantee of Pokemons with Hidden Ability in the Isle of Armor too so that made the grind even less, well, grindy

If it's the den-resetting exploit you're thinking of, I believe it still works. But if you have the DLC the max soup that they added makes max-raid grinding irrelevant.

I had no trouble getting a near-infinite supply of these items, but then again I did spend a very long time grinding raids to find a HA Appletun. I never did find it legit. I got so fed up with how boring raid battle are (Especially at 5 stars) that I resorted to the den-resetting exploit. No regrets.

Not OP, but I was feeling this way recently so I forced myself to play some games I either had been meaning to play or just random stuff that looked fun.

I discovered that I really like the original Breath of Fire on the SNES. A very simple and classic jrpg that doesn't ask too much or too little from you. I also discovered that I don't like the Secret of Mana remaster. I don't like timers in my combat and the combat was very dull. I was also surprised to see how ugly and repetitive the game looked and how terrible the remastered music was. Very disappointed because it came highly recommended to me.

I have about 50 hours beating story and then the dex and doing some raids / wild area things. I feel like I could play a lot more if I get into competitive and raise a team, but at that point the game is more grinding than actually playing a game.
Maybe the DLC will add longevity
