That said there are exceptions, some Pokemon are good as fuck despite being single typed. Also some dual typings are such a bad combination that even single typing would be preferable.
>Is it a bad idea to double up on types?Depends. Which types? Which Pokemon? What's the rest of your team? Is it for competitive or just for roleplaying/storymode? The team you posted is incredibly unbalanced so I have to assume the latter, in which case it doesn't matter. Don't bother trying to gear towards a "competitive" team unless you're trying to play competitively. Stick with your bros if they are what's fun.
Also, cutesy team but I like it well enough. 4/6, not a fan of Stunfisk in any capacity and two starters is a bit tacky in my opinion. Here's my team as of Crown Tundra, I like steel types.
