>>45082948>>b- but I h- hate fairies they don't ma- ake any sense...>>45083096>Fairy SHOULD be full of a bunch of gay cute shit, because that's the intention and its primary appeal to those who are into that sort of thingI'm a hyper feminine person irl, my whole computer setup is pink and my headset has cat ears, I have pink curtains, lots of pink plushies, etc., and I play Love Nikki every single day, and even so I still think that Fairy is by far the worst type at its core. It's a non-type, basically, just slapping it onto pink creatures for no reason. What is it about a Pokemon being pink that suddenly makes it a "fairy"? I'm talking lore wise, it just makes no sense if you slap a type on something just for its colors with no justification why this particular creature should be so. The anons who posted both Grimmsnarl and Klefki are right, those are perfect representations of what it should be, little mischievous prankster with an aura of mystery to them. Like Psychic types but instead of being weird ancient shits from space, they're weird shits from our own world (I mean, the Pokemon world). I'm not saying no girly mon should be Fairy, because some really do earn that title, like A-Ninetales, who's based on a Finnish myth of Arctic foxes running around creating auroras. Ideas with solid inspiration like that have the best kinds of designs and executions, because it's not just "uh.. it's pink so uh.. fairy". Same for Mawile, being a Fairy is perfect for a Pokemon with such design inspiration. We need more of those, more Fairies who actually have a solid reason to be so, even if they're girly, to still have a solid lore backup instead of "haha pink". Just look at Dragon, it's not the "man type", it's a type which draws inspiration from all over. It's very lore heavy and that makes it so varied and creative.
So no, it's not "you hate Fairy cause it's gay and pink", I dislike it because it's so lazy and uninspired when it could be the greatest.
